In the movie 50 first dates by adam sandler and drew barrymore theres this short clip song when they where sitting on the restaurant talking i cant pretty much remember the lyrics but goes somewhat like “you know you are my prince charming,you burn like a fire and you where always burnin” > It has a very lively reggae beat,and the singer seems to be a girl even with that powerful voice.

I don’t remember any of the lyrics just the tone and the fact that its at the end of the movie 50 first dates staring adam sandler. I also know that its the song that plays right before the credits and continues on through them.
This song was performed by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and is a medley of “over the rainbow” and “a wonderful world”. It has an island flair to it and is the best compilation I have ever heard. I have it as a short cut on my desk top!!! Israel was a HUGE Hawaiian man who has passed away. He has an album and I believe you can get it on Amazon.com. It was also a song on “Meet Joe Black”…I think I will click on it and play it now….thanks!

In the movie 50 first dates, the scene in the diner when Adam first saw drew and kept staring at her. The old man in the diner said to adam, are you staring at me or her, you’re starting to freak me out.

It starts just before as a camera is scoping the ocean and the song starts then you are in the diner. I love it and have NO idea who sings it..PLEASE HELP!!!!!

It’s ace.
Its on t.v. now on USA and I am watching it for the first time. I think I must have caught it in the middle or the end of the movie..but what ive seen so far seems kind of sad than funny. I guess I am just used to the typical Adam Sandler comedy and this movie seems to show a more mature side…well from what i’ve seen so far. Anyway to those that have actually seen the entire movie, what genre would you place it in comedy, drama, both?
