Of 6, 7, and 8th grade students. He then assigned an essay about its importance for homework. Shouldn’t teachers be teaching the curriculum and not indoctrinating? This Florida teacher is probably one of those complaining about “No Child Left Behind” and its adherence to a given curriculum.
I think this teacher is intelligent, responsible and courageous. I suppose if Gallileo had told his students about the movement of the planets he would have been accused of indoctrinating them. Someday these kids will be among the small minority who won’t look back and say. “Why didn’t anybody tell us when there was still time to do something?”
Can anybody send me the movie as a file in an e-mail since i need it for a school project. I don’t know if it’s possible but I’m just trying. lol. But i hope it’s possible.

Have you seen the movie, An Inconvenient Truth? And, if so, what do you plan to do to help reverse Global Warming?
If you have not seen it yet, when are you going to see it?
Do you realize that you must see it? At least, you must if you want to be cool…, pun intended.
Well, I’ll start by asking Fr. Chuck to site 1, count them, 1 peer-reviewed source that refutes anything in the movie.
Then, I’ll make sure that the people I know who aren’t flat-earthers who believe anything that Fox News and the Petroleum Institute tell them watch the movie too.
Then I’ll vote with my concience. Inhoff and his cronies will not have the only voice in power if I have anything to say about it.
Isn’t it interesting that the state that took the election from Gore will be the first place to go away when the Antarctic ice shelf breaks up? He he he — poetic justice at it’s best!

Because sometimes, people do not want to hear the truth thus making it inconvenient for someone to hear. Global Warming is an obvious problem but for some driving a Hummer, is more important.

Of course, all American adults should see the movie, and many will. But we are so politically polarized that we can expect 40 percent of the nation to follow the lead of President George W. Bush and the talk-show hacks and either make fun of Gore or refuse to see his work. Bush proudly declared he has no intention of seeing “An Inconvenient Truth.” Yet, he did read the science-fiction novel “State of Fear,” by Michael Crichton, and invited the author to the White House, where the two men reportedly agreed that global warming was somewhat of a hoax.

Does some little man on a TV screen or radio frequency have so much power over you that you base your opinions on other opinions instead of emperical knowledge? I Implore you to think for yourself! See An Inconvenient Truth.
Because of who the director’s are and there political view point. Why would I wast my money to see a film directed by a guy with a political view point totally different than mine? Tell me would you see a political movie directed by a Conservative if you were a liberal? Then why would I see Fahrenheit 9/11 when I’m a conservative? I do think for my self! That’s why I’m a republican and not a democrat who followes the crowd and popular opinion. I think for my self!
It is a movie made by Al Gore. Before you go off about him, you should really watch it. It is a true look at our world and how Global Warming is REAL. If you haven’t seen it, google it, or rent it. It is a movie, I believe we should all be made to watch. If we watch it and tell at least one person about it, maybe we can make a difference.
Kimmypoo - I have to disagree with you. I did see the movie and, although it bored me, the photos and video were astonishing and provocative…
But will everyone watching a movie reallly solve the problem? Its not you and I that can do anything about this. We need to stop our Govt from lying to us and denying that this is real (did you see yesterdays news about the Climate Scientists who say the Administration has been censoring their reports and removing any mention of “climate change” or “Global warming”?), we need to pursue alternative fuels, and we need to start carpooling together or using public trans - and the public trans system in America pretty much sucks unless you live in a downtown area of a large city.
