Entrapment Questions

What is your idea about this movie?i think its great with sean connery and zeta jones and czj is hotter than hell in it.

Boorrring! Now maybe if she was naked for most of the movie….

Which actress stars opposite Sean Connery in the movie Entrapment?
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Meg Ryan
Liz Taylor

Catherine Zeta-Jones

I love this movie and i think the love scenes is great thogh there is more than 40 years age different but i think thats a handsome.power, clever and sexy old guy and sexy, wanted, erotica, beautiful,… little lady.
i dont know why somebody dont like it.

You are so right! He is amazing and incredibly sexy! The pairing was not a hard sell for me at all. After all, Catherine’s real life hubby is no spring chicken and he can’t hold a candle to Sean Connery

No doubt czj she is more beautiful, bloody gorgeos, hot as hell, perfect body (damn that scenes who she wore a black cat suit),so classy, and so better in sexy action girl role. (i choose this two movie because the roles was same and theyrare in same age in these movies{29-30}.)and so entrapment is much better movie,i think mr & mrs smith is sucks.

I loved Entrapment, and I loved Catherine ZJ in it. She’s a far more versatile actress, I think; she can play the sexy action babe but also be a bit more personable and funny and she even has it in her to transform into a more serious character, whereas Angelina tends to be a bit more limited in her repertoire. Her aggressive sex appeal is so exaggerated that in many instances that’s all that you see.

The movie was nominated for three Oscars, and won none. Little Children dramatized tom perrotta’s brilliant novel about suburban entrapment and the possibility of escape. Was something lost in its transition to the screen? if so, why? were some of the sex scenes too hot and obscene of hollywood? i am very displeased.

It wasnt a typical Oscar-winning film. I agree with you that it was terrific, especially the acting and writing. I dont think anythign was lost in the traslation to the screen, it was just too small, too subtle, and too unheard of a film to win. I dont think that the sex scenes were too hot or obscene for Hollywood, I feel that they were perfectly fit into the film, but I highly doubt that had anything to do with its not winning of any Oscars. Many more sex filled movies or films with sex simmilar to Little Children have won numerous awards.
You have to look at the awards it was up for and who they were up against:
The best chance for a win was for Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay. It lost to The Departed, which was awesome and the Oscar big winner, but I do feel that Little Children probably should have won over it anyway. I also think that Children of Men had a good chance and might have should have won.
The next best chance was the wonderful Kate Winslet for Best Actress, but unfortunately she had no chance against Helen Mirren in The Queen, who was absolutely amazing.
The other nomination came for Jackie Earl Haley for Best Supporting Actor, but he really had no chance and should have been just happy and honored with a nomination. All four others nominated actors would have gotten it over him.

So I do greatly agree with that Little Children was highly and unfairly overlooked by not only audiences but awards as well. As for the awards themselves, I felt the only one that they had a real gripe with was for Best Adapted Screenplay. Great film though no doubt and no matter what awards they won (or didnt win).

The detective also was in the movie Entrapment

Nero Wolfe? That was set in the 1950’s and it had that actor Maury Chaykin in it. He was in Entrapment too I think.

Besides “To Catch a Thief”, “Thomas Crown Affair”, there’ll be a “Thomas Crown Affair 2″ sometime this fall or next year), and “Entrapment”, are they any other movies that deal with art theft in general? This is for a bit of research and common knowledge.

Hudson Hawk, starring Bruce Willis

Two if by Sea (I think) (Dennis Leary, Sandra Bullock)

Recently I was reading Artemis Fowl series and found myself fond of that kind of novel. The movie is also coming (but still far away). I don’t know of there is any movie/novel similar to it, with evil geniuses tricking each other, breathtaking actions, smart schemes. I tried Die Hard (since the author of AF mentioned the similarities of the two) but I didn’t find it very amusing. Any ideas? Also, anything with hacking/stealing (such as The Italian Job, Entrapment) will do. Thanks !

stop reading!!! it leads to free thought!!!! Then who will vote for the GOP?
