When Michael Moore-on made his movie he scorched Bush for being on the course around the 9/11 tragedy followed by the night time comedians and the leftist news channels. They reamed Bush but good. Where was the Bama when swine flu took hold? On the 9th hole, but nobody reported that except of course Fox. Why the double standard? For once, instead of the usual left wing crap, answer the question you obamunists.
I will answer your question. Yes he was on the golf course. No it didn’t get the same headlines Bush got or the follow up gigs with Letterman. The media is biased and we all know it. I voted for Obama, I am unhappy now. He hasn’t done anything he said he would to get my vote. He appears to have forgotten everything he ran on. Am I ready to jump ship? No. To be fair and honest, I have watched Fox and the commentary leans right like CNN and the rest lean left, but Fox does a better and by better I mean more fair and balanced job of reporting news.
In 1977 someone decided to make a movie titled damnation alley staring jan-michael vincent. the movie is set in post world war three, in a nuclear holocaust. the band of ragtag survivors found a signal emitting from albany, ny, possibly the last place remaining on earth, and the plot of the entire movie revolves around their odyssey to traverse the scorched earth to get to albany. the thing that bothers me the most is why was albany, ny chosen as humankind’s last bastion in a dystopian future. haven’t these survivors suffered enough?
Having only seen the movie when it first came out, I have to rely on spotty memory, but is it possible Albany was spared from the missiles because there was no strategic value in bombing it? Or maybe (tongue in cheek) the enemy thought it was already destroyed?

Space tourism is all around the universe we used to wonder about. It is through wormholes that the military continues their obsession with space. A crew on board a star ship encounter a core platform devoid of life and in area of galaxy unexplored. The platform is human design and scorched with licks of plasma. The crew dock and attach transporting the platform with them. This is when they encounter energy synced creatures………..rest of plot not fleshed out……..what do people think?

Um, I don’t mean to be blatant, but your idea sounds like, Stargate, Lost in space, and Star Trek all rolled in one. You should apply some of that to, maybe say, the first colonization of the moon. Now as life continues to grow on the moon, then maybe they discover energy synced creatures during diggings for underground living. (Hey, I like Sci-Fi too, but it’s hard to come up with ideas nowadays)
I’ve left my country in the South East to settle with my Canadian spouse in Canada. Immigrants have quite a slow start in the first 6 months, so I’m at home a lot watching tv and on internet. I’m not bored, but I keep myself busy. It seems with no job and children to worry about, I’m starting to give in to weird thoughts. I fear death, and I’m frustrated riding the car on the highway or in tunnels fearing it will collapse. I’m thinking what if I die of suffocation and gets phobias thinking if I die from a tsunamis wave drowning me, or the sun scorches the earth. I panick when my husband plays with me in bed, and my mouth gets close to the pillow. I get emotional and cry bcoz Im thinking what if something happens to my family back in my country..Sometimes, I watch my husband sleeping and I get a flash in my head that I’m suffocating him there.
It’s really crazy bcoz before, i was a carefree girl and never had those systoms. What’s happening?Is it bcoz I watch a lot of criminal movies ?
Well sweetie, you left your country and are starting a new life somewhere completely different. Moving away from your home town is hard for anyone but moving to a new country is especially hard.
I have suffered from anxiety for a long time and you are expressing feelings that go hand and hand with it. I would see a doctor to see if they can prescribe you something to calm you down. It isn’t easy having anxiety and feeling like your world is going to end so be sure to talk to someone and maybe get some temporary medication until you are settled into your new life.

He was meant to be babysat by two or three guys or they kidnapped him or something but he climbed out the window to follow a pigeon. Later on in the movie there were bits with scaffolding and paint. It was a comedy. Something like Big Baby’s Day Out or something like that. I saw it ages ago. There was a bit about heating the milk as well and they scorched themselves and a zoo with a gorilla.
I hope someone knows what I’m talking about.

In this fantastic film, there is the scene when the autobots come scorching down to earth like meteros. They then all transform into close by vehicles. The question is that can you actually tell which autobot is which according to location they land in…eg: Hatchet the ambulance is obviously the autobot that lands in the city where the large dude is filming with a handheld camera…
So which autobot lands in the pool, stadium etc AND how can you tell?

I bought a new pair of jeans a couple days ago and I really want to wear them! I’m going to the movies Saturday night..my question is, would I look stupid wearing them to the movies? I live in Seattle so it doesn’t get scorching hot, but it can be pretty humid at times. It will be at night though, so will I be ok? I’m not worried about getting too hot, I just don’t want to look weird. I’ll probably wear a tank top with them
You can definitely wear them! And they’re a great thing to wear in the evening with a tank top, like you mentioned.
For me theres nothing better than when its raining cats and dogs (or snowing if you’ve got that) outside and you have nowhere to be so you can just sit in front of your fire/heater watching movies!

Hey guys and gals, did you ever read the book, or watched the movie ‘The Thorn Birds’ ? A thorn bird is one stupid bird because he keeps coming back to the flame, even tho he gets scorched. Moths do it too. People in the book kept doing things that made their lives miserable in the end. Now, my question - ‘why do people who absolutely deny there is a Biblical God, and/or hate Him so much, keep coming to the R&S section of YA ??? This does not make sense to me. If I hated God and/or denied Him, that is the last place I would want to be. Can SOMEONE explain this paradox to me? Do these people like getting scorched? Do they subconsciously WANT God lovers to witness to them about their faith? Is this not strange?

I don’t think those who hate God are getting “burned” or “impaled” when they frequent this site. I think by coming here they satisfy their hatred to some degree. There’s no satisfaction in preaching to the choir so they come here to take a swipe at Christians ~ as if by pounding on him or her kills their God.
It also provides them an opportunity to practice their art of self-delusion. They believe themselves to be more intellectual, more intelligent, more moral, and superior in every way to Christians. So when they come here and insult and bully us, they’re able to walk away from the encounter with a false sense of affirmation ~ thinking that they are indeed on the right side of things.
