I never watched the movie

My favorite Lassie was the one in 1994. She doesn’t die, she saves this kid then goes off the waterfall and everyone thinks she’s dead. Then they have this scene where the boy is in school and he looks over to this tree she used to wait for him at and she’s sitting there and he runs out there and hugs her and stuff. I’m a dog-lover, so that’s a tear jerker for me. I refuse to see the other Lassie movies.

Yes, it was Lou Diamond Phillips fresh from La Bamba back in 1987. I loved that movie and always remember the scene with the emergency tracheotomy. It is a shame it hasn’t become a Christmas classic. There was no TNT back then, it was either ABC or NBC that aired it, that much I remember.

Well I’m doing a little history project and I just need a little summary on some of the 1930 movie posters. Some being, The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, and King Kong. Why are they essential in the movie industry? How are these three movie posters different from each other? How were all of these 1930 movie posters different from the ones we see now?

They were essential because they couldn’t advertise on t.v! Now, we photoshop our posters and they’re simply used to catch our eye, in the 1930’s, every shot had to be perfect, and they really depended on them to bring in an audience.

The plot was that a man wants to be the best. He makes deals with the three warriors. The warriors, two men and one woman, are all mad with each other. The first man (who wants to take be the best) tells the king(?) that he defeated them and goes into a long, detailed story. In reality, he had just made deals with them. The king(?) figures it all out and realizes the man just wants to take over the kingdom. I think one of the names of the warriors (the female one) MIGHT have been snow.

we pray all the time, God why can’t i be patient, why can’t i forgive, help me stop drinking…we automatically assume he will just do it, but he does give us the opportunity. It even gets us out with a lesson learned and dignity!

i did the same thing. started it and was like wow, gay and stopped. then i finally sat down, watched it and it’ great.

I watch the film really often and I want to know if he really did the drugs or if he was just a really fine actor…And I really want to know why would you want to feel the way they did in the movie..Chaos was obviously the result of the way they handled the situations in the movie and they handled it that way cos of the drugs..Why then would you take it to such a level? I know he says…once you’re on a trip..the tendency is to push it as far as you can go…but still..their lives werea mess…Any insight?

That kind of drug experience is hard to fake, that tells me that he has probably done his share of drugs in the past. But I doubt he did them for the movie. Their behavior was hedonistic and nihilistic. Have fun because theres no reason not to. Its a very detached way of looking at things.

Yes, it’s autobiographical. Written in the seventies I think. Thompson was a journalist, druggie and brilliantly funny writer. Sadly, he committed suicide last year. The movie doesn’t really do justice to the book (despite starring Johnny Depp!)

Hell yeah and yes its good. Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro are amazing. its one strange movie but is pretty good at telling the story of Hunter Thompsons crazy life.

I have seen the movie numerous times and read the book about three times. There are some differences in the movie but it stays pretty true to the book. So the question is which one do you prefer. Book or movie?

The movie sort of leaves it open. What did you make of it?

It left a lot of room for the viewer to make up his/her own mind, but in my opinion, I believe him. I believe that he is actually from another planet and that he uses our bodies as hosts. Maybe it is because I want to believe, or I think it makes for a better movie… either way I believe.

It’s left up to you. I personally believe that he goes back to K-Pax on a sunbeam, as mentioned earlier, although you could certainly assume that he simply disappeared.

Prot comes to realise through hypnosis that he is his “friend” that he’s been talking about, Robert Porter. There are theories that Prot, being from another plant, was able to mesh himself with Porter and take over his body to some extent. This would explain the memories that are brought up during hypnosis.

To be honest, I think you’ll just have to watch the movie and decide for yourself.

I think that is a movie not only for kids. It is a great movie for everyone. We all can learn from that movie that many times we already have what is the most valuable in life, but we still spend a lot of time trying to find something else of lesser importance.

Yeah, it’s a great movie - I’ve seen it so many times & I still can’t get my head round it. I pick up on something new every time I watch it! If you haven’t seen the Director’s Cut version you should definitely watch it, because it has shots from the time travel book inter-cut in between scenes, which kind of make more sense of the movie (but not much!).

I forget how, but people contract a disease, and an Indian woman gives some of the sick people tea made of little red flowers. The flowers make everyone better, and the Army has helicopters sprinkle the flowers over all the quarantined area.

i though it was the worst movie i have ever seen it was so confusing and the ending was horrible like you didn’t even understand what happened and the first hour ten minutes of the movie you didn’t understand what was going on and i hope that they don’t make a second one because the ending of it seemed like there was going to be a second one. I love the books and I was very excited for the movie to come out, so I went last night to see it at midnight and I LOVED it. I was just wondering what everyone else thought of it.

The theater here has twenty screens and nineteen of them were reserved just for Twilight. It was astonishing!! The movie was splendid and I think all of the actors did a great job on portraying their characters. I saw the 12:02 showing last night and I’m going again tonight with a few friends that were unable to go last night. Despite having already seen it, I’m still really excited!

I am currently working at a theater and i have been working there for a couple of months now. I did leave a two weeks notice but yeaterday i changed my mind and told my city manager that i wanted to go ahead and stay untill i find my next job.He let me stay there longer. …as far as any other incarnation of the “Freddy vs. Jason 2/vs. Ash” idea, the writers of the proposed screenplay have ‘taken their toys to another sandbox’, so to speak; specifically, they have collaborated with Wildstorm, DC Comics, and Dynamite Entertainment, to create a presently running limited issue comic book rendition of their story…

…as silly as the idea is, I’m sorta hoping that enough positive interest in the comic book might be generated, so that New Line Cinema might coinsider picking this up again, for a feature film project…
